if the shepherd’s dog and i could spend the day together, we’d surely run away forever. to fields with wind, always wind, never a harvest that burned you to the ground. if the shepherd’s dog came over to my spot, i’d show it around. i’d run away from it, it would run behind me. then it’d catch up. i would jump, it would too. we’d run around the trunk of a very large tree. we’d think that for some reason, yes, empty chapel pews do sound comfortable when you say it like that. we’d get tired in the afternoon. i’d tell it about cheeky. i’d say, her and i had something.
